can't get my 2nd G touch to sync cal,contacts mail settings

I was having trouble connecting with my mobile me account so I reset my ipod touch but it still will not let me get my mail (mobile me) , sync contacts or calendars.

I have tried setting up my mobile me on the ipod but it won't allow me to use mail. Any clue what is going on?

imac; white macbook ,iPod touch, ipad, Mac OS X (10.6.5), airport extreme, time machine
