Remove All Payment Methods From iTunes Store Account?

My friend has an iTunes Store Account which they currently have one payment method (a Debit Card) setup on.

They like using iTunes Gift Cards to top-up their iTunes Store Account with credit, so would it be possible for them to actually remote their Debit Card details from their account? That way, they would have no payment methods recorded on their iTunes Store Account.

Do Apple allow this?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8), iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2010) 12GB RAM

Hi Reuben,

They should be able to log in to their iTunes Account, Edit Payment Information and choose none.

Ok, thanks for the reply.

So it is possible to have iTunes Store account without any form of payment (credit or debit card) associated with it? I thought it was one of Apple's requirements? Or is it only a requirement to create the account in the first place?

You should be able to remove all payment info from an existing account. It will read No credit card on file, if I'm not mistaken. Check out:
