iPhone 4s Bluetooth problem
Bluetooth icon is on when I'm in the bluetooth settings but when I'm out of the bluetooth settings the icon disappears

I have no bluetooth icon but its on, when I'm entering to the bluetooth settings again the icon appears, when I close the settings it disappear again, but bluetooth is still on..
I can switch the Bluetooth on however it will not connect to my car hands free. How do I fix this?
Having just purchased a Bluetooth to FM adapter for my car in October, I was beyond upset when my new IPhone 4s didn't connect. It also belligerently refused to connect via Bluetooth to my old iphone, to my computer, and to my iPad. Having expressed my frustration to 'Seri', probably in terms a sailor could more readily understand, Seri politely responded, ' I"m sorry you feel that way.' Sitting outside of Best Buy, ready to go in and purchase yet another IPhone to FM adapter, I thought I'd give it one last shot. Turned Bluetooth on phone off. Turned phone off. Unplugged Bluetooth receiver, then turned car off. Turned car back on, phone back on, phone bluetooth back on, plugged Bluetooth receiver back in, then held down the buttons on the receiver for 10 - 20 seconds. Magically, the car Bluetooth device appeared on the IPhone with an option to connect. I don't know if this is a solution for everyone and every Bluetooth device...but is certainly worth a try.
I have a problem with my bluetooth on my Iphone 4S. Everytime I turn the bluetooth on, the bluetooth icon appears on the top. But when I exit the settings this icon disappear. When I re-enter the settings the bluetooth is still turned on.
How can I fix this problem ?

When no devices are paired the grey Bluetooth icon is only visible when in the settings menu, if you have a device paired but not connected you can see the grey Bluetooth icon at all times (Tested on iPhone 4 & 4S iOS 5.0.1).
