anyone else experincing this. Hours have passed and I have answered several questions as correct or helpful and they arent being added to my current ammount of points? TIA.

And the problem has now definitively been confirmed: the helpful points from you have not been added about 30 minutes later......
I thought something weird was going on. I answered several questions last night and was credited with correct answers, but my total has remained the same. I am not being awarded points either. I thought maybe it would go up when I checked this morning, but the points were not added to my total either.
Jive Software employs a room full of hamsters racing on little wheels that powers the point system. Once correct answers are identified, little levers, attached to the hamster wheels by a series of gears, are pulled to award points. It's an ingenious system, provided there's no interruption in hamster power.
Apparently, yesterday some of the hamsters phoned in sick, or were at a rally, or something. Details are still hazy. However, a short, profusely apologetic notice on Jive's website this morning assures customers that there are more than enough hamsters spinning away at work today to ensure every correct or helpful answer so identified across its network will be awarded its rightful points.
That explains many of the glitches which happen here. At least it is something I can understand. 😁

For the length of time you have been a member of the Apple Support Community, you should be aware that the useless babble that makes up your response is a violation of the Apple Support Communities Use Agreement. Seems to be working again, but lost all credit for any correct/helpful answers given yesterday.
Since you say it appears to be working now, I'm going to report this thread to the hosts - I haven't been credited any points either.
Edit: Thread has been reported with the request/question if the system can be checked and points added...

The email notifications that you're supposed to get for reaching a new Level don't seem to be going out, either.
My points were accumulating for a short time today, but have since stopped. What a mess.
Same here. I'm now receiving the points for today, but still missing yesterday's rewards. We will see what happens now that it has been reported.
I have no idea if this is related to anything with the discussion site today, but my site refreshes and responses to posts seem to take ages to load today as well. Just thought I'd throw that in to the mix.

While we are on this subject, can those with a communication conduit to the hosts pass on this suggestion concerning "points"?
I would like to suggest that the display of points acquired be optional, and that option is a controll in your privacy setttings.
