Have a new ipad2 -worked perfectly for 6days. Now when I go into iTunes it will play song lists, all songs but Not albums.  When I click on an album nothing

happens.  Have tried several albums including ones i have jsut bought from itunes. Very upsetting. The iPad is 64 gb with wifi and next g.  Can anyone help me? Paid over $900 so am a bit worried that if I am having problems now it will only get worse......

    Did you try quitting the music app and restarting the iPad and then see if the albums will play?

     

    In order to quit or close apps - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

     

    Did you reset the iPad?

     

    Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

    I was new to the whole iPad experience and posted the question twice.  'king penguin' provided the following advice and it worked for me- hope it does for you too

    "Have you tried closing the Music app completely and seeing if you can play albums when you re-open it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with Music 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Music app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.

     

    If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot."

    I had the same problem, turning off the power for 10 seconds and starting up the iPad once again fixed the problem.
