I have an ipod touch 3 gen. It will charge but it will not sync up, This has been going on for three days now. What can be done?

Need more information. What happens when yuo try to sync?

How are you syncing? USB or wifi?

the ipod will not connect to itunes to sync, but like I said it will charge. I use a USB connection and yes I have tried other USB cords.
