Q: Iphone 4s - 3G connection disappears after using wi-fi

Same problem, just got my iphone 4s, 3G came on great for a few hours. I think i signed in to two wifi connections and then slowly noticed i could only get internet from a wifi connection.............. really ***** how are they gonna fix this. Is there any recalls????

Sry but can i ask how ur switch on 3G? I dun hav the "cellular data" on my iphone 4s 0.0

Setting->General->Network->Cellular data ???

I am from Turkey and i have the same problem too. But not all time it happens.

Turn off 3G and turn it on again.

There is no option to turn off 3G in the iPhone 4S.

Turning 3g off isnot solving the problem. When i connected via wifi, after i closed wifi and turn back to 3g, 4s doesn't connect via 3g. Only solution is airplane mode off/on

I am in Kuwait and have the same problem with my Iphone 4S, some time the connection to 3G disappear while  in full network coverage and got EDGE !!!

my friend has Iphone 3gs and dose not have this problem.

The options for 3G are now controlled by the Carrier themselves.

Thats why some carriers dont allow you change the APN settings, they actually tell the phone to remove the settings from the view on the phone.

You could manually setup your phone using the iPhone Configuration Utility, and manually setup the APN settings by creating a profile to over ride the automatic settings sent by the carrier.

Same problem here in Thailand. I have to turn it off and on to get 3G back. Compared to other problems that other 4s users have, I'll live with this for now.

Same problem here. My provider stays in contact with apple because of this known problem. Can´t believe it, because i expected a little more than this from an inovating company like apple
It isn´t a solution for me turning on/off any option on my phone to get it 100% going! Losing internet connections oder calls is absolute "no-go"! Sorry, i´m very disappointed!

Same problem. iPhone 4S just cannot find any 3G network after using Wi-Fi for a while. The problem can be solved by switching Airplane Mode on and off, but this is not a solution.

Apple should really fix this annoying bug.
