I cannot view any Google based websites or apps that use Google. Only Yahoo works for search... I even get a YQL console error when typing www.google.com into the browser. Is there a setting that has been applied? Any advice on how to get Google bac is appreciated.

It works fine for me in Safari - the search engine and the web site. You may want to try Settings>Safari>Clear Cookies & Data and then restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Try updating your routers firmware. Worked for me. Hope this helps.

Is your default search engine set to yahoo? You can change it in settings/safari/Search Engine.
Just curious if you are searching things and yahoo is coming up.
A network settings reset may help resolve this issue.
Open Settings app. Click General. At the bottom, click Reset. Click Reset Network Settings.
