Hi Karsten, I used beat markers but I did not use the wave forms.

If I recall correctly, here is what I did.

1) I created the music track and put it into iTunes.

2) Imported music into iMovie.

3) Tapped the M key to set the beat markers. I kept a tally sheet as I was going to indicate 1 beat, 2 beats, or 4 beats. The tally sheet also told me the total number of photos I needed.

4) Then I created an album in iPhoto, and dragged pictures into the iPhoto Album according to whether I needed a 4 beat photo or a series of 1 beat photos, etc.

5) Then I dragged the whole album into iMovie at once, and it snapped to the beat markers.

6) Add titles and color correction and done.

7) Oh, and I tried it with and without Ken Burns. Decided to go with KBE.

And good info, to 'pre-produce' an Album for easy access of 'right' pictures!

THANKS for sharing this info (and the video, well done!)

Yes, no doubt that saves SO much time trying to piece it together one picture at time dragged into the timeline. I've always felt that one of the hidden beauties of iMovie is how fast you can put something together, compared to other available tools.
