Click on the smart group and hit the delete key on the keyboard. It'll ask for verification.

Click to highlight it and then hit the delete key. You'll be asked if you definitely want to do it - say yes and it's gone 😉
Hi Capt - I've done it again. You must think I'm stalking you 🙂.
I've tried to do that, and it works with other groups under iCloud label. But it doesn't work with Smart Groups. It just gives the 'bonk' sound, and nothing happens.
@Hi Paul. We're just interested in the same subjects. 😉
Cars, golf, skiing, music and Applestuff does it for me 😀
Add sailing, motorsports and football, I'm all in. 😎
I've just had a go on my Address Book and it seems you can't delete Last Import. But if you created a new Smart Group you can delete in the way already mentioned.

Sailing - I feel ill on a pedalo.
Motorsports - yes!
Football (as in American) or do you mean the proper game of Soccer 🙂
As you will see on my screen shot, it is listed as Last Import. Surely there must be a way to delete it. Any ideas?
See my reply a couple of posts ago - I don't think you can, but any Smart Groups you create yourself can be deleted. Don't know why, just the way it is 😟
Can't delete "Last Import", it's a system definition.
Since it showed up just recently, I assume it's somehow triggered by iCloud syncs?
Just curious.
It must have come with Lion. I disabled iCloud and it remained.
