Webex error

I have recently encountered an issue when attempting to attend Webex conferences. As the java client loads, it then errors out and throws the following error message:

Setup was unsuccessful. Please restart browser and try again. Error [7], File [note.bundle]

I receive this error message whether I use Safari, Firebox, or Chrome browsers.

Other details about my system:

Mac OS X version 10.5.8

2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

4 GB 667 MHZ DDR2 SDRAM

This is a relatively new phenomenon as I have been able to utilize Webex without problems in the recent past.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

I had the same issue, though on OSX 10.7.2 - I think it may be related to a recent OSX software update. I called tech support and the solution for me was to uninstall and reinstall WebEx.

To uninstall, go to the WebEx home page, click on "Downloads" at the bottom of the page, and then download and run the Mac Uninstaller

To reinstall, I went to my company's WebEx site (companyname.webex.com), logged in, clicked on "Downloads" under the Support section, and installed the Meeting Center Application for Mac.

A colleague told me that uninstalling may not be necessary, but that's how I did it. I also restarted my computer after uninstalling, which the tech support guy suggested.

I have a current update (2013.Oct.4)

I had to switch from Chrome to Firefox because an update to something made multiple tabs in multiple windows of Chrome flicker in and out, but that's a topic for another time.

Since I had to teach a beginning Linux course to my [much] younger colleagues, I really needed to get this working, and this error message:

. . . "Setup was unsuccessful. Please restart browser and try again. Error [7006], File [svoip.bundle]" . . .

was destroying my chances for a successful beginning of the course.

NOTE: WebEx.com no longer has a download link, and going to anywhere requires one to create an account, or open a new one.

SOLUTION: Find (or download) the original installation file and re-install.

That seems to have worked. I was able to start a session and was successful at sharing and all I needed.

So far so good. We'll see after a day or so rest...
