Aperture fails to delete the master along with the version. The only variant that I have imposed is to run Aperture off of the ssd and place all of the files on the internal hhd.
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2), 128 ssd and 500 hd

Thank you. I was looking for it to happen in the drop down menu "File"-Delete Master image and all versions.
Your answer suggests that the only way is to have the master go to system trash at the time of emptying aperture trash of the versions. I had success with your instructions. thank you
