prevent hyphenation of fraction

I am editing a document, in Pages, that includes a number of fractions, all expressed in the format x/y. Whether ragged right or justified, automatically hyphenated or not, these fractions occasionally split at a line end. How can I prevent this — in other words, how can I format such a fraction as "3/5" to behave as a single one-syllable word?
