I wet my ipod =[!!!

Like over a year ago, (i know its been a long time) I was out at the ekka (a showday) and it started raining heavily. I walked to the car with my ipod in my pocket, and it must have been raining harder then I noticed because the water damaged the ipod to the point where it would not turn on. I left it out in the son in a cloth, to provide dry heat, and placed it in rice for 1 week. Since then for the past year, it has worked when on charge and when on charge only.

I am now curious as to whether I could take it to an apple store and get it repaired?

If this is possible how much would it cost?
