Sims 2 Expansions

This is my first time using the discussions forum, so I am not sure if I am posting this in the right place, but hopfully someone will be able to help me. I am looking at buying the game Sims 2 for the Mac. My question regards the expansion packs. Do all the expansion packs work with Sims 2, or do some only work with Sims 1? Specifically I am looking the the Unleashed Expansion pack (the one with animals) and wondering if it will work with Sims 2. The one I say in the store did not specify, and the people there told me to try asking here. Thank you so much.

Sims 1 and 2 are two different games. Sims 1 expansions will not work with Sims 2, and vice-versa. Here's a handy list of which expansion is meant for which game:

Sims 1 Expansions:
-Livin Large
-House Party
-Hot Date
-Vacation
-Unleashed
-Superstar

Sims 2 Expansions:
-University
-Nightlife (coming to Mac soon)
-Open for Business (not yet out for any platform)
