Cannot Connect iPad to Appletv

I am having trouble connecting my iPad or iPhone to my Appletv. It just happened all of a sudden and I cannot figure out why. I've got Homesharing turned on on each devise and my wireless is working fine, but when I try to connect either the iPad or iPhone to the Appletv, I get a blue screen saying I need to connect homesharing (or something like that). The remote function will not work and that is what I'm after.


I've tried reseting the Appletv, deleting the app on the pad and phone, unplugging the Appletv, etc. Still nothing haapening yet.


Anyone have some advise on troubleshooting this?? Many thanks in advance

I have been trying to figure this out for a couple of days. Like athenshome said, I too check all of my settings and my wireless network was connected with no issues. I unplugged my wireless router for roughly a minute, plugged it back in and routers services resume. I was able to see and use my apple tv resource. Good call athenshome. This worked for me.
