Is it possible to reset a Macbook Pro (purchased early 2010) bios password? I am trying to boot from a DVD, but seem to have forgotten my password. I know on other hardware, you can pull the CMOS battery, but I have found no documentation for this on a macbook pro. Thanks.

Pls try Password Utitlity in the /Application/Utilities. This will help you.
Zapping the PRAM does not reset an EFI password.
In fact you'll need the password even to be allowed to do it.

But because the purchase (not a guarantee Alsharaf) never failed to provide any service to me.

for my mbp, i was able to reset it via command+option+p+r at boot... glad the efi password is so useful...
Macs do not have a BIOS. They use EFI.
