Is it possible to edit imovie themes?

Hello,

I've been working on a project for work using iMovie, and its about 97% complete. I'm using the news theme for a few transitions, and feedback from it has requested that the animated transitions color be changed so it matches with our branding (currently reddish-orange, our branding is yellow/black). Is there any (easy) way to edit the theme so it uses the animations but with custom colors?

Not as such, the themes are kind of written in stone. But as you say, you are very close to the end, so there's a very attractive workaround. Try this:

Go to the File Menu > Convert to Project

This will move the project out of Theme mode and into a regular iMovie Project mode. And NOW you will be able to make changes to just about everything in the Project Browser. Be warned however you cannot UNDO this step once you get very far into making changes. So you might want to first to a Duplicate Project first, then do the Convert to Project on that duplicate. Always good to leave yourself a way back in case things don't turn out how you expect.
