I can't offer any explanation for this weird behaviour. You have the redirect tag in there correctly, but if you can't persuade iTunes to read the feed this won't work, and I'm afraid your only option will be to resubmit the new feed as a new podcast - you will need to change the title slightly or you will be told that it has already been submitted.
If you do this the original podcast will still be available in the Store at
http://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/mediaphillia/id472786464
and although there is a method for getting it removed detailed here recent posts by others in a similar situation suggest that the iTunes Store staff are no longer bothering to comply with removal requests. As the feed is dead it may eventually get removed anyway, though this could take some time.
