iPhone 4 - App store password problem

I have today changed my login details for the app store from my boyfriends details to my own login details but now when I download an app it doenst ask for a password, I have tried turning off the phone and leaving it for a few minutes but none of this makes a difference, does anyone know how I can sort this out?
