Ipad messages "Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found"

I recently updated my Ipad 2 to ios 5. Since then I get frequent but intermittant messages from safari and other apps that say "Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found" or something similar. The web sites I am trying to access are all available on my desktop. I need some help in solving this problem as the Ipad is not usable as it is. My wireless network is WAP. Clearing the cache and history sometimes helps but not alway.

iPad 2, iOS 5, Tried other browsers same result

The 'server cannot be found' message pops up when the internet connection is lost, usually in the middle of a normal session. So something is dropping your wifi signal. Receck the wifi settings. Consider forgetting the connection, and starting over re entering the wifi settings.

dorothyfromwheaton,

You responded to a thread that has been dormant for 3 years. I suggest you start a new question that gives a good title to a specific problem. Then in the body of the thread describe the problem in detail, tell us what steps you have tried so far to correct the problem, what happened, and what error messages you received.
