Accidental iPhoto pictures deletion
I accidetnally deleted a bunch of photos from iPhoto and emptied the trash. Is there anyway to restore?

That is precisely why you always have good backups - to protect against problems caused by humans, hardware and/or software - things do happen and a backup is your only protection against bad things - if you do not have good backups you will lose your photos and all other data sooner or later
With no backup your options are very limited, expensive and may not be succesful - you can try file recovery software like file salvage as one example - http://subrosasoft.com/OSXSoftware/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id= 1 - or hire file recover experts

No there is no backup. And just for my prides sake, it wasn't me who did this. I posted the thread for a friend. Now the pictures were originally on and iPhone and synced to iPhoto. They wouldn't happen to be in the iPhone backups that are stored on the machine would they?
Possibly - that would be a question for the iPhone forum
