Help, please - Final Cut Studio System ID not working for installation

Hi Everyone,

I've just purchased a new MacBook Pro (actually a refurb from the online store) and I'm attempting to install FCS2 from my disks. I do not know where my paperwork containing the serial number is, as I've moved three times since first installing this back in 2007. However, I know that as long as the Final Cut Studio System ID file is in the proper location, FCS2 shouldn't ask for a serial number. This proved to be true just a couple of weeks ago when I had to reinstall it on my old machine after doing a fresh OS install. I dropped the FCS System ID file (from my backup drive) into its proper place in the ProApps folder and everything installed beautifully.

Now, I've placed this same file into the same location on my new MacBook Pro, yet FCS2 is still asking for the serial which, as previously stated, I am unable to find.

Any thoughts on why it isn't seeing the System ID file and moving forward?
