How to change default Apple ID on iPhone?

I recently helped a friend set-up his iPhone 4 using my iTunes and now whenever he tries to download apps the phone requests MY apple ID, even though he has set-up his own Apple ID using the iCloud feature in the settings. How can we stop the phone requesting MY Apple ID and instead make sure it is requesting HIS Apple ID?
