turn off imessaging

I recently switched to android on 1 of my lines. That line use to be associated with an iphone icloud account. I use to receive imessages on that line thru iphone icloud.

But I still get imessages sent to my iphone. All messages sent by my iphone friends go to my old iphone. I have turned off icloud on that phone, deleted the account. Removed my number from icloud online, tried everything but still no luck.

Please help; icloud has hijacked my number.
