Documents in the Cloud. And on your Mac or PC.

iCloud makes it easy to move Pages, Keynote, and Numbers documents between your computer and your iOS devices. Just sign in toicloud.com/iwork in any modern web browser, and all your iWork for iOS documents will be there — complete with your most recent edits. Click a document to download it in iWork ’09, Microsoft Office, or PDF format. You can also drag and drop any iWork ’09 or Microsoft Office document from your computer into one of the iWork apps on icloud.com, and it automatically appears on all your iOS devices, ready for you to review, edit, or present.

So to sync with the Mac, you have to manually drag and drop into the iCloud interface.

sorry seems that there is no auto sync for the moment mabye because they will release iwork12 soon

I don't think illidan155 was trying to be smart.

He was just asking a simple question.

Apple says you can do this:

"You can also drag and drop any iWork ’09 or Microsoft Office document from your computer into one of the iWork apps on icloud.com, and it automatically appears on all your iOS devices, ready for you to review, edit, or present."

So how do you do it?

If you can't do it then they shouldn't say you can!

OK I am getting somewhere

iWork.com has to be activated using Pages on your mobile device.

It says it is iWork.com-Beta so obviously still in progress.

Even though the statement says "any iWork09 document" it only means a Pages document (or Word presumably but I haven't checked this)

Go to Pages on your mobile - select the tool icon/select "share& print"/select "share via iWork.com"

you then have to go through a verification process.

Once you go through the verification process you then log in to iCloud.com on you MAC/Laptop whatever.

Go to iWork page

Drag the document you want to share on iCloud into the browser window.

It will upload the document and then supposedly you can use on your mobile

Problem atm is I get "cannot upload the document" so there may still be some bugs in the beta

PS

OK I take back what I said about it only being Pages documents.

When you log into iWork in iCloud on your computer, there are three very small tabs at the top.

If you have Pages selected, you can only upload a Pages doc.

If you click the "Numbers" tab you can only upload a Numbers document.

I actually got a Numbers document to upload.

Haven't been able to share it on my mobile yet but this is a work in progress

Maybe others can jump in here and do some testing too.

Update

I cannot upload ant Pages document - it tries but fails saying "there was aproblem uploading a document" - see attached

This happens with any formatted document. The last I tried was a Blank page with the word "TEST" on it and that failed.

So, I am guessing the Beta iWork is really a non-working Beta.
