WiFi on iPhone 4S doesn't work after iOS 5.0.1 update!
I resetted my setting twice, I restored it with iTunes, but WiFi doesn't work any more!
How can I get iOS 5.0.0 back?

there is no supported way to downgrade iOS software.
Did you restore your phone as NEW or from backup? If you restored from backup, try and restore again as NEW
Sorry, I was afraid my iPhone 4S is broken.
WiFi works fine with a static IP address, but no DHCP!
Just switch to the static config!
I have the same problem with iOS 5. When I did my iPod touch iOS update from iOS 4 to 5, my WiFi seemed to work just fine but once it prompted me to set up iCloud, my WiFi connection just went nuts. It can no longer connect to the connection anymore. I thought it was just the iPod touch. I went to purchase iPhone 4s last night and I was informed that the WiFi should work but when I reached home, WiFi could not even connect. I wonder could it be something to do with the sync-ing of iCloud or any of the unsolved bugs in iOS 5. I'm getting frustrated here. Can anyone out there please help?
Thanks a lot!
iPHone 4S doesn't get the IP address from the DHCP router after iOS 5.0.1 Update!
iPad1 with iOS 5 & iPHone 4 with iOS 5 still work fine with DHCP!
Only the iPhone 4S with iOS 5.0.1 makes troubles.
I switched to the static IP.
Having the same issue here. Updated to iOS 5.0.1 at work over wifi. Now that I'm home, I can't connect to my airport extreme anymore. have reset both devices and even installed the update to the airport. no luck. Now what do we do??
UPDATE: Great, my iPad 2 doesn't connect anymore either. Since its a WiFi only model, its useless now.
UPDATE 2: Whew, ok, the iPad finally connected, but it took a few minutes. Now what about our phones?
Can't even get mine to work in STATIC mode.
Try restarting your router after setting up the static settings on your phone. That worked for me, however I am still loosing connectivity from time to time. I had no issues with my phone before this update. 😟
Still not working. And the 5.0.1 on my wife's iPhone 4 also killed its wifi. My iPad 1 works fine, so does my iPod Touch.
Just reset my Apple Airport Extreme router and everything is working fine; on my 4s and 4 phones. Interesting.
My iP4 running ios5 worked flawlessly. Now with the upgrade to ios 5.0.1 I can't connect to my wireless router at home. I tried turning the phone off and back on, unplugging the router, removing the connection and entering it manually. nothing works and I'm getting ****** off.
By the way, I'm sending this email from my computer over this very same router! I instructed my wife to NOT UPDATE her iP4S.
Hmmm... I'm a new Apple user. I switched because supposedly “Apple just works!” What a crock. Now I have no exchange mail and Wi-Fi is screwed up. At least with Windows I could uninstall the freaking patch.
Working fine for me. Connected it to an Airport Extreme and also a Netgear router, both DHCP, before and after the 5.01 update and everything still works fine.
I got Wi-Fi to reconnect by restarting my router and re-entering the wireless password. I wonder if the wireless account passwords were lost in the update process? I wonder if I would have just had the phone “forget” the wireless account and reconnect if that would have worked.
On an interesting side note, the exchange server connected after I got Wi-Fi back working! I am wondering if there is a issue with 3G and the new IOS 5.01? I could not get any exchange connectivity after the update on 3G.
I tried the "forget" network and reloaded it by hand to no avail. Mysteriously, it is working now.
A new issue has shown its ugly head though...My phone has lost ability to sync with iCloud since update. It sure wold be nice to be able to go "Back" to iOS5. Perhaps SJ's replacement isn't as detail oriented? Let's hope not!
Just as a side note. Goodkat "correct" answer implies that non working DHCP is somehow acceptable in favor of static IP addresses. This is a fail!
