Installed iOS 5.0.1

I just installed iOS 5.0.1 and I am experiencing a lot of dropped calls on my Iphone 4 while still showing I have 2 to 3 signal strength bars. My Iphone has never done this on the AT&T network. Anyone else having this problem after their upgrade?

Thanks.

In our case, we actually tested, one iphone 4 version 5, and one iphone 4S that got upgraded to 5.0.1 and in some parts of the country, both drop calls past 48 hours; never had this issue previously on either phone. Outside of that geographic area, no calls dropped in past 48 hours. If you're having issues, as silly as it sounds, check with your other ATT friends and see if they're having the same issue and that eliminates the upgrade as the problem.

To add to the comments I am starting to have similar problems with my iPhone 4s and the 5.01 update. I first noticed a worse battery life than with 5.0. I am going to try you g back to 5.0 update. And hope that will help. I even call my brothers home phone and it said it was no longer in service. I call from my house phone and no problems. I always had some poor call quality. Now I am getting dropped calls. At home where I never get dropped calls from my 3G phone before.

You do realize this has absolutely NOTHING to do with your phone. You have a problem with your carrier. Contact them It would explain the misrouted call, call quality, dropped call and possibly even the decrease in battery life if there are signal problems.

By the way, you can't downgrade. If you do, you really are on your own.

Ya right. I believe than answer. Why did I not have any problems at all with my iPhone 3G on AT&T's service and then all of a sudden I switch phones and am having problems. It's not just me that are having these problems. You guys just want to through the blame around. I deffently did feel that the battery like was not as good when I upgraded to the 5.0.1 firmware. And that can't be blade on at&t's service. I actually thought under the 5.0 software the battery life was on par with my iPhone 3G until I read reports that I should be getting better battery life. I was probably getting 4-6 hours Internet, etc. Also I use 3G Internet. That is Internet usage and pandora streaming with no drops except when I expect it and know that the signal will be week. For that the my iPhone 4s is working great. I even stream Netflix from my iPhone through my Apple TV2 to my 40" TV, works great.

If you call your brother's home phone from your iPhone and you get a message that it is not in service, but it is, then there is clearly a problem with your carrier or the interchange between carriers. Since you got a new SIM card and AT&T would have had to re-provision your account for the new phone, it's entirely possible they managed to seriously bork it up.
