I have tried to restore my iPod Nano 5th Generation by using iTunes 10.5.0.142. Once restore operation has been successfully done, iTunes asked me to restore the device once again, and once againg... Really annoying... Moreover, the device icon does not appear in "My Computer". Does anyone have any idea how to deal with this bloody thing? Thnx for you replies:)

Thank you for your post, CMCSK! Unfortunately your link wasnt helpfull. My iTunes programm still keeps asking me to restore my iPod after each restore operation. Maybe something wrong with my computer. I will try to handle it on my friend´s computer.
Try changing the Nano's drive letter as described in this Apple support document.
