iOS 5.0.1 problems - Searching for Network and battery life still isnt great.

So I dont know if anyone else is having this problem but I upgrade to iOS 5.1 today and it seems to me that my network is being dropped A LOT today. I know it probably doesnt help that I'm on T-Mobile with a factory unlocked iPhone 4 but it seems that before I upgraded, I was able to keep my network for a longer amount of time. Also, I think iOS 5.1 actually made the battery life worse. Im down to 40% and thats without any calls, a few texts and very little wifi surfing.

Reply if your having the same problem lol

My signal issue is somehow solved! I restored it just after upgrading and having signal issues but nothing happened.. Just until three-four days ago i still had signal issues.. Then almost over night, it was fixed all bu itself without contacting apple, getting a new sim, etc.

However, I still have battery drain issues.. Almost equal to ios 5.. I have disabled many apps from the notification center thing and turned off auto set time or whatever that was and i also disabled other location based settings that i dont need but i still hve to charge my phone every day (1-2x)

Most incomprehensible, it is why Apple does not officially report about the problem 5.0.1. After all, we are fans of the products Apple, and Apple silence - it is indecent. We pay their products and create prosperity of Apple company. At least one could appease everyone, and inform when time for updates 5.0.2. Otherwise there is a risk unscrew itself from many of the followers ...

So very unpleasant situation, my new iPhone 4GS in the box for a week .... I can't use it. Waiting for soluton.

I upgrade both my Ipad2 and Iphone 4s. The Ipad is working fine but the Iphone can not connect to AT&T, I have to restart it to receive and send messages and calls.

Apple really did a very poor job of testing this upgrade. This issue is going to be a great incovenience to my work week as I use the phone a lot to make calls, and now I will probably have to use a different phone.

Hi All, I've been on your position for about a week..

My iPhone 4s is losing signal after the ios 5.0.1 update.. I Can't make a phone call or even text a message.. It's a useless phone..

Then, I've been informed that the reason behind these signal issues is because the ios 5.0.1 update stop supporting the old SIM Card model..

We need to use the new model of sim card, the USIM or 3G SIM..

So I went to my provider, Asking them spesifically for a USIM or 3G SIM, then I insttalled it to my phone.. at first, my phone still struggling to search for network (maybe it's the transition, I don't know for sure).. but after a few minutes, it showed a full bar of signal.. and I've never had these signal problems ever since..

Apple's Mistake here is not informed the user about the transition to the newer USIM / 3G SIM model.. and left so many frustated-uninformed user..

But now you've known.. So, there you go guys, go to your provider and asked them for a USIM or 3G SIM card..
