After iOS 5.0.1 update, can't connect to Mazda 3 2010 bluetooth

I've been using the bluetooth phone and audio connectivity in my 2010 Mazda 3 since I've had my iPhone 4 last year and never had any problems. All worked well on iOS 5, but after updating to iOS 5.0.1 this evening, I noticed that the next/previous song function wasn't working anymore.

I deleted the paired iPhone and tried to re-pair it to hopefuly resolve the problem but I can't get the iPhone to detect the car's bluetooth anymore. The car reports 'Err' after some moment and the phone never lists any pairable device(s).

I tried the pair my gf's iPhone 4S (which was pairable before) and I'm having the same issue with this one. Can't detect the Mazda's bluetooth connection.

Anyone else having bluetooth connectivity issues now with iOS 5.0.1 ? 😕

Resetting the Network Settings didn't help neither. I have no idea what to try next.

Same here. I installed the 5.0.1 update last night and noticed that my Bluetooth connect between my MacBook Pro and my 4s was having connection problems. It's odd, because I've had the phone about a week and never had a Bluetooth problem ever. I sat here about an hour and mess with it and still cannot a establish a consent Bluetooth connection. Just as soon as two pair up and receive a message that it's lost it's connect to the Bluetooth device. One the thing to note is that my MacBook Pro is installed with Snow Leopard.

I have a 2011 Mazda3 SP25 with Nav - upgraded to iPhone 4S - problem with Bluetooth connection too, not seeing it - upgraded Mrs' phone to IOS5 on an iPhone 3 too the other day - she now can't connect to Bluetooth (BIG PROBLEM!) ;-)

It's seeing all manner of other drivers' Bluetooth tools...handsfree headsets etc. but not the Mazda3. Who's issue is it? Is Apple to far ahead for the Bluetooth in the car or have they forgotten something?

I am having the same problem with connectivity, Krevin, with my Mazda 3 and my iPhone 4 after the update to OSX 5. Have you found anything to help you with this?

Yeah, I got same problem too..my iPhone4 running iOS 5.0.1 can't pairing with my MacBook Pro running OSx Lion 10.7.2.

Ohhhh, it is a very big problem for me too.

Just recently purchased 4s and it doesnt connect to Volkswagen RCD 510 hands free telephone system.

Car sees the name of telephone, but it doesnt connect. It says the mobile phone is not compatible.

Awesome possum!

iOS Update 5.1 finally fixed the issue! I can now listen to music and talk on myphone via Bluetooth in my 2010 Mazda 3.

Just had to re-pair the device and off I went.

Also seems like it fixed the issue with some Ford cars too. Hope you all get success. 🙂
