I upgraded my iPhone 4s 16g to iOS 5.0.1 and noticed that the baterry has been drained much worse than before. Usually in the normal use, I had approx 30% left at the end of the day though surprisingly it came down to only 3% even in the evening. No chage on my setting has been done. Also my connection with cellular network and wifi were badly affected with no receipt of full text message from the family plan user.

I demand apple to fix the issue immediately!!!!!

My iPhone 4 was just running fine until this update. It seriously burns battery while doing my same day to day tasks. Usually at the end of the day I am around 35-45% battery, but after this update, I am around 5-15%. It makes me feel that I need to be very cautious about using my phone, especially if I am traveling somewhere. To those lucky one's who haven't updated...just don't.

Iphone 4 here with 5.0.1 my battery was good until this update no it drained about 33% faster or so. It was going down about 1% every 5 minutes on wifi surfing internet, everything off. It took 5% on google maps for about 5 minutes or so of checking directions and traffic over 3g. Its terrible now. Absolutely worse. I was seeing ~6.5-7hrs before hitting 20% left, im at 5 hours right now. Glad I had a full charge. Whatever was done in this update totally killed my phone. Id love to downgrade my software back to 5.0 but I dont think I can. This patch and not being able to downgrade are fails. I want IOS 5 back, not 5.0.1

Even worse, right after IOS5 came out I was getting 12-13hours out of a charge usage wise, the battery had become a TANK and then all of a sudden its terrible. Nothing has changed but software, and I think it was a fluke that it was so strong for a few days after IOS5.

I would also like to add that I even saw 3-4% battery loss over just an hour or so while standby. Ive never had it drop that much, 1% at most. Its just draining now.

Mine worked fine again (So far), I originally posted on first page of the thread.. I have to get to work so only manage to read up to page 11 of this thread.. If someone already have the same solution then happy days..

I just drained the battery completely flat by turning everything on and then just plug it in to charge until full (Don't think it matter if the phone turn on because when you drain it completely it turn on when you get to certain charge like 3%)..

Anyway 8 hours and 30 mins later with location services turned on, it is at 97%

Will check threads again tonight when i get home.. hope this helps.. good luck
