Photo Stream sends every Photo that you take to icloud.

Do you really need that ?

i think i found the problem, at list that fix my battery drain problem.

i downloaded an app called systeminfo and with it i found out that icloud allways use 100% of my cpu.

when i deleted my iCloud account my iPhone just got back to normall use of cpu.

i hope it helps.

after searching deeper i found out that the option contacts in the icloud account use all the cpu and when i turn it off its just got back to normall

Isn't it sad that we have to turn OFF location services, Bluetooth, iCloud, etc in order to have a functioning phone??

Apple designed the new OS to work on the devices they sell. They included all these great features and we aren't able to use them? Am I the only one who sees something seriously wrong with this picture?

A lot of us have no problem letting the battery drain to 0% because it does that every day.

Well everyday its different then every 4 hours!!

Shutting off unused apps and features is simply good power management. I don't think it's sad at all. I learned proper power management when I owned my first smart phone, a Motorola droid x. I use the same techniques with the 4s. If I need gps or iCloud I simply switch it on. Not a big issue.

well well well I finally got my battery drain now 100% battery charge with 3G on and regular usage i got battery backup for 24 hours which is really good my android phone just gives backup for half a day...

I called Up Apple Customer Care they asked me to restore my phone from itunes .

set up phone as new phone ...

delete your icloud account and just keep the notification on which is required by you also disable sync iphone through wifi option .

restart your iphone and i was done i got back my battery backup....

finally got it......

I believe it IS a big issue because before I mistakenly updated to 5.0.1, I could go more than 2 days before needing to charge my phone. And I had every single feature, including push, turned ON. Something in the update changed that for hundreds of people. That, to me, is an issue!

Calling Apple Support was a waste of time. They suggested I take it to a store and have them look at it. I had a friend with a 4s (like me) do just that and they replaced his phone. I don't see how it could be the phone if it worked just fine prior to the update. What a pain.

Stop waisting your time the only thing u need to do is to delete your iCloud account till a fix update will be rls.

Well seems like that rumor of iOS 5.0.1 is finally gone the way of the dog since developers got a beta of 5.1. So as stated earlier I suspect if you are filling up this thread with false post you are wasting your time. This would include creating a new set of post that link to particular post from poor or inaccurate sources.

The press is not going to touch the story due to poor or inaccurate sources.This includes links to members that do not own the device, stories that are contradictory based on posting in the discussion or completely inaccurate statements. Some offsite links implemented poor security with self signed certificates that may have exposed users OpenID.

Users who post have stated that they do not own the device or have made completely false statements and as such cannot be reliabe sources. This could include post on other boards unrelated to this device. For example a developer or registered user of one particular platform surely cannot be considered reliable or a user.

I would imagine that companies such as ZDNET or Affiliates of CBS Media would have strict rules related to sources and conflicts of interest. This is why reporters on ZDNET have their conflicts publicly posted.

The original solution still stands.

• Install 5.0.1 on your iPhone 4s.
• Make sure you use a new SIM. <Do not cut down a SIMM>
• Reset the device doing a hard reset and software reset.
• Let battery drain and then charge for the full cycle, which is 24 hours.
