My battery life was okay, not great, with my iPhone 4S on Verizon on iOS 5... and now with the update, my battery life is worse than it was.

Sadly, my White 4S is in the same predicament. Battery is even worse than it was with iOS 5.0. This is a major disappointment after converting to iPhone. I think I made a BIG MISTAKE.

My battery drainage was bad with ios 5, now wth 5.0.1, its draining at least 33% faster. I'm not enjoying my 4s at all. Apple, please note, release ios 5.0.2 and fix this problem.

iPhone 4s - mine ***** as do many it seems. As a longterm Apple supporter with 2 macs, an ipad and now an iPhone, it pains me to encourage potential purchasers to hold off buying it until they get this right.

Dont encourage the new management into thinking ignoring customers is ok.

We want a statement of regret and a fix, this is for the sake of the company. Dont mess with your reputation guys, do the right thing and stop selling this bug ridden paperweight until you find a fix.

Now IS the time to ask what steve would have done. If you cant yet see that this could turn into a huge corporate crisis and loss of customer base confidence then you lack the vision to run this fantastic company.

Ok...there's an issue, but where do you get that Apple is ignoring anyone!  They ALREADY admitted publically there is an issue, they released what they think is a fix, and in 24 hours you make these wild claims?  It people like you...seriously.  Chill out... it WILL get fixed...sure be upset but not disagreeable and for sure don't make things up and represent things that are simply untrue, just so you can stand on a soapbox.

So how many of you have done a hard reset (Sleep + Home button for 10 seconds) and/or complete wipe and then restore from backup?

Everyone has mentioned their issue, but haven't mentioned what they've tried to rectify it. If you want Apple to help, you should probably provide more information than just saying you're losing battery power.

I had a slight battery issue with my 2nd iPhone 4s (had an unrelated issue), but after I wiped and restored it works perfect. My iPhone and iPad run just fine.

You mind as well try and do a complete wipe and restore, because that's what they're going to do if you take it to an Apple store anyway!

    Hi,

I upgraded last night and battery life worsen. It will be available for less than 24hours and I did one call and 10 SMS today.

The rest was for meeting reminders and email notifications.

When I bought my 3GS more than 2 years ago I got to use it for almost three days before recharging.

My iPhone 4S is a week old. My girlfriend's iPhone 4 has better battery life and she talks a lot.

    Thanks,

    Luc

You know something - most of us switched to Apple years ago so we would not have to spend our lives trouble shooting, wiping and restoring.

The past few months have been very frustrating - between battery problems (on ALL iOS5 devices), cloud problems, email problems.

Apple needs to deal with customers in a better way if they want brand loyalty.  If my email is out (like it is now), it would be nice to be abel to go somehwere on the Apple site and find out that they know about it and that they are working on it. When I used Comcast, I could call them and they had a message for know outages!

When there are bugs, like the battery problem, they should post that on an easily accessible site so their customers know what is going on.

The communities are great for sorting out odd problems.  But when the problem is system wide, their has to be a better way then users just trying to help each other out.

This is my first Apple hardware product. Whilst I can forgive iTunes for being an unusably slow pos on windows, I can't live with iPhone 4s battery going from ninety something percent to empty in 5 hrs while I'm asleep.

My phone, my partner's and the iPad bought at the same time will be going back if there's no actual fix

I have an iPhone 4 and after upgrading from iOS 5.0 to 5.0.1 my battery life is SIGNIFIGANTLY worse.  I don't know exactly what was done, but I can't even get through and entire day without having to recharge.  Here is an example of how bad it is.  I had a 100% charge, and after 15 minutes of use (checking e-mail and stocks) I was down to 76%!  That is terrible.  With iOS 5, I could easily go two days without having to charge, but now this DOWNGRADE is causing me to have to charge for the second time today. NOT IMPRESSED!!
