Nov 11, 2011 7:07 AM in response to Ceenathanaby opmisk,Same problems here. iphone 4 with iOS 5.0, I had great battery life, no problems. I updated to 5.01 yesterday and dropped 20% with no usage over the next 2 hours. Charged to 100% this morning and am already under 90% with no usage. I normally would be in the high 90's. Also, I did a hard reset like a previous poster and the percentage jumped up 2% from 88 to 90. How's that possible ?
Something isn't right... c'mon Apple, we expect better.

You may want to recalibrate your battery meter by fully discharging the battery until your phone shuts off and can no longer restart when you try to turn it back on. Then fully charge the phone.

Nov 11, 2011 7:10 AM in response to art_in_motionby steven.tezcan,My battery performance did not change after I installed the 5.01 yesterday. I have AT&T and since this morning - with only browsing WEB or checking emails for 5-6 minutes - I am at 72% as I am writing this. I left it charged overnight in the dock station and It went down 10% as soon as I undocked and browsed the web. I did not use the voice at all. I hope this is not a HW issue but looks like SW update did not do much.

Nov 11, 2011 7:16 AM in response to art_in_motionby rjwiphone,My battery life was great before the 5.0.1 update, but since the installation of the update my battery is discharging very quickly. The charging display was "lost" for awhile and has returned.
Is there any way to turn the system back to ios 5.0?

Nov 11, 2011 7:30 AM in response to art_in_motionby CJMass,Same here. Since I updated to iOS5.0.1 the battery on my 4S just drains out-of-control. All settings are the same as before (notifications, location services, etc). I unplugged my phone at 8am this morning, I have not received any calls, just 4 text messages and received 10 emails, and it's at 70%. Is there a way to revert this update?

Nov 11, 2011 7:45 AM in response to art_in_motionby gregfrombuford,Yes...I updated last night and always kept 100% charge for about 30 minutes or so until this AM and noticed my phone down from 100% to 95% with no calls or usage in a matter of an hour.
So yes..my phone is at 90% now and not even used it or taken a call...
Something is WRONG.
This is what happens when you put an Auburn grad in charge. I can attack him since only a white guy.

Nov 11, 2011 7:58 AM in response to gregfrombufordby WilliamLX,Since updating to 5.01 my battery is draining faster than it was, but not by as much as some are reporting. Under 5.00 leaving the house at 7am on 100% it would be 75% or so by 5pm. Today after the update it is already down to 69% at 4pm. So the update is hardly a battery fix .

Nov 11, 2011 8:02 AM in response to art_in_motionby Bash77,I am losing 17 percent an hour. I was only losing 5 percent before the update. I am very disappointed. Apple please help. This purchase of the 4s was my first iPhone and I think I am going to have to turn it back in for an android or bberry.
