Macbook cannot print to wireless pixma 882

I recently bought a Canon Pixma 882 and it is connected via wireless link to a Linksys Wireless E4200 router. My MacBook Pro is connected to the router. I checked that the printer is connected to my router, I can access it from the browser using its IP address. I can see the Pixma in my printer list on the macbook, however when I try to print, I see the screen below and nothing prints.

BDAqua,

I did set it up as a default printer on the Canon IJ network, when that did not work I set it up as an IP printer, downloaded CUSP drivers that support the printer, but that did not work.

I reset the printing system feature earlier this evening, but nothing changed. Why use Printer Setup Repair 5.1?

On the console I get the following message:

All the messages in the above mail (including the snmpget: Timeout) are when I use the Canon IJ driver

Here are the messages when I use the CUPS driver

The Pixma makes several noises, i.e, the printer head moving back and forth, but no print out.

BTW, I downloaded PrintRepair and ran it, nothing has changed.

I got the printer working, after talking to the Canon Rep. I missed one tiny detail when I was setting up the printer. After getting the printer to recognize the router wirelessly, I had to get my MacBook Pro to recognize the printer:

Click on System Preferences

Click on Print & Fax

Click on "+" button

Then click on "More Printers" button

When the menu comes up, it recognizes your printer, and in the box above you have to choose

Canon IJ Network ( I had omited this step, and it was selected to Windows Printing, which was

incorrect)

Once this is done the printer worked.
