I am having problems as well since updating to iOS 5.0.1. I didn't have problems with the phone before this update. Now the battery drains very fast. There are times when the phone will shut off at 68%. I am not getting messages or they come all at the same time hours later. Also when trying to send messages I now get the not delivered message most of the time. The internet is slow on the phone now. It won't let me make calls most of the time as well. I wish I had never updated to the new iOS. I hope they fix it soon!

I'm in the UK. Got a brand new 4S with O2 back in October. I was VERY excited but after a month I decided to post the increasing number of issues I am experiencing:

1. BATTERY: draining very quickly. What's the point of deactivating most of the features (notifications, location, iCloud, etc) if that's why we all have an iphone?

2. SIRI: is useless in the UK for the lack of location services.

3. iCLOUD: won't synchronise bookmarks, iCal or notes. It's a nightmare, instead of "it just works". It doesn't.

4. REMINDERS: by location. Wow! I spent hours creating locations in my contacts to be reminded to. None of them have ever worked. It only works by date/time.

5. CALLS: dropping both when outcoming and incoming at a rate of 30% daily. Best phone ever? I remember 10 years ago my Nokia "brick" was flawless.

6. iMESSAGES: not delivered to other iOS devices (tried 3GS, 4, iPad) and also different carriers. As mentioned in other threads, confirms "delivered" when is not. How could something this simple, like SMS, stop working with the most advanced OS?

7. FIND FRIENDS: did not find them, it got me lost instead. Never again.

I am very disappointed as all the new features I was looking forward to use are nothing but unreliable.

Please Apple engineers, make note of all this issues to fix them and make me (and other millions of users) proud of having the best iphone ever. Thank you!

I am very disappointed in iOS 5.0.1. I have been experiencing major connectivity issues. Most of the time, my phone is either searching or says no service. I occasionally get one or two bars. The "genius" at the apple store was no help. She suggested a new sim card and restore. I spent an hour on the phone with AT&T for them to finally say that my phone is just broken.

Is it possible that ios 5.0.1 could cause actual damage to my phone?

Do we really think that the next update will fix the problem?

I can't believe that the Apple store would not even suggest that my problem might be related to iOS!

Was on the phone again yesterday with a senior advisor from Apple regarding my IPhone 4s white 64g unlocked. Long story but they finally believed me. Not fixed yet but they said they would be back to me with an answer today. The lady admitted that it was my phone. They replaced it 2 times already and three Sim cards later. My Son has a IPhone 4 and no problems at all. I have had to put my Sim card back in my Blackberry so that I can work. Tempted just to get the old iPhone 4 if they replace it again. Very Frustrating

I personnally think they know itsa problem with the phone, but have no fix for it and hope it will be fixed with the next update.

Not sure if this is a fluke and it shouldn't be the answer but it has allowed all my call to come in or out and messages since I did it.

Turn off you Back up to the iCloud. I also turned off all the sync to the iCloud except for Mail and Find my phone. Since I done that everything works. I tried turning it back on and the problems start all over again. Apple is suppose to get back to me today.
