who have problems after ios5.0.1 updated?

I also have this problem, my iphone 4s has worked well for a month and then last night would not work with my wifi.. i waited until I came to work to try to connect here but have the same problem, the wifi bars are showing but cannot get on the internet... I tried turning off 3g and rely on wifi .. no good... i tried resetting networks twice and no good... are apple acknowledging the problem????

I've had the same problem. Thought it was my wifi.

I also lose 3G signal to edge. Only way to get 3G back is to turn phone off and on.

Not a major annoyance.

I'm surprised it's taking apple so long to come out with fix /update. ......

Perhaps the fix will be called iPhone 5???

I had the same issue until yesterday, but looking in this forum I found that some people installed iOS 5.1 beta 3 in their iPhones and it worked fine, I installed this BETA VERSION yesterday and .... i'm a happy guy at now, no problems since yesterday, I recomend you install this version of software.

That's interesting indeed, thanks for that Cuauh. Before I go hunting for a beta version of iOS 5.1 can you please briefly describe the problems your phone had whilst on 5.0.1, I just want to check they are similar to what I'm seeing. Thanks!

I bought my new iPhone 4S last October, no problems until I updated to iOS5.0.1 software version, my phone began to appear "NO SIM INSTALLED" every day at the mornings, a frequently signal loss every moment, all day, the signal marks at full bars and 3G appear on screen, but no signal, need to have restart the phone every time I wanted to make a call, and after that no signal again, a lot of lost incoming calls, mesages too, my iPhone was an expensive iPod for a while, i tried restoring my phone, changing for a new SIM, ... nothing, but searching in this forum I found that issue, so I decided to update to iOS5.1 Beta 3, and, surprise !, I have my iPhone back, NO PROBLEMS since last update, ALL IS OK UNTIL NOW, I´m a happy guy at now.

Thanks for the reply Cuauh. So you're iPhone had the no sim/signal problem. During these problems did the sound features of the phone still work as normal? ie keypad clicks, lock and unlock sound, sound from videos, did the volume buttons still work?

When i had the problem, the sound features was ok, the problem was only with telephpone calls, mesages, internet, at now, ALL IS OK, and .. the battery life is better too.

So, I tried resetting to factory settings last night in the hope it may resolve issues..

Sadly, it's made it worse.. Didn't fix the issues with the iPod app and my battery managed to get even worse.. What the ****? I bought Apple because there was a reputation for their reliability and stability.. Ever since ios5 came out they're getting more Nokia-ish by the day (ie - malfunctions in the most ridiculously random ways imaginable, and batteries aren't worth a ****)

managed to downgrade to ios 5 but had to jailbreak it first but now its not an itouch i have a good signal again. i will never upgrade again until 1000s of other users have done it before me and have had good results.

I finally solved the battery issues with my iPhone 3GS after buying an I/O Magic portable power pack at Staples and keeping the phone constantly attached to it. Now, when I pull out my phone, I have a cord hanging off of it, going to the portable power pack in my pocket. Ridiculous? Absolutely!! But, it's better than having my phone go dead every 10 minutes. It's unbelievable that a huge company like Apple has not found an update to fix this issue in all these months. (Or, are they even trying to fix it?)

Apple shult pay the contract bill witch we have to pay on the end of the month!!!!!!!

I cant make call but my service provider dont care about it.Someone shuld get responsability.We pay so much for iphone and that is what we get???

Soon we shuld move to android like i see is cheap no restriction like "you can send trough blootooth only what we tell you to send"Obviusly you can make call with android phones some much more that apple.Why to pay so much for this peas of rou*ish?

My iPhone 3GS can now only be used as a paperweight!!!

I've upgraded the OS and after sometime it froze, then hanged-up!

...and if you are trying to get people lke us- with lower geneartion iphones- to purchase the 4 series, forget about it!!! I'd rather use an analog phone. At least it can make a phone call!.

Seriously, what is wrong with Apple these days? What ever happened to custumer satisfaction and valuing our loyalty? This is not the Apple i used to know.

Just a question - does anyone know where the thread about bad wi-fi connection after installing iOS 5 dissapeared to? I saved the link but it's not valid anymore. In January there were over 25 pages of it - now it's gone

well just picked up this iphone 4s 16gb yesterday and the battery isnt too good but my biggest problem is with the signal strength i will have 4-5 bars then it goes rite down to 0 bars and says searching and it will stay like that for about 3 minutes then the signal will come bck then after a few minutes it does the samething again ,and again, and agin please apple fix this problem i paid 500 pound for this phone
