Safari plug-in and Java problems

What is the reason for some websites not working if I have plug-ins enabled in Safari Preferences?

For example I cannot use Yahoo at all as the "rainbow circle" appears and Safari freezes. After disabling plug-ins I can force load it and it works fine...

I have upgraded, updated, uninstalled, installed Java/Adobe, but not helped...

Recently upgraded to Lion, but used to have Snow Leopard and had the same problem...

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

Does it work with firefox? or Chrome? Maybe one of your plugins crashes the website. Try to update all your plugins and see if the problem persists. If it does, post what plugins you have installed.

It's okay if you're green. That's why you have a support community. Easiest for you would be this link.

http://macs.about.com/od/usingyourmac/qt/safariplugin.htm

It tells in detail how to remove plugins. Since safari works with all plugins disabled it is certain one them causes the crash. I would recommend removing all and installing (one by one) the ones you really need.

As the article explains, too many plugins can slow performance.

try to disable the flashplayer.xpt If this doesn't work try to disable shockwave.

I don't know the EPPEX plugin so try as last option.

However, flash has been know to crash safari. Try to repost your question in the appropriate sub form (now it's under hardware) as a problem where flash crashes safari. Also post a crash report, the people there can help you better probably.

Well. Its seems like a flash specific problem. I suggest reposting it under os/x lion (instead of under macbook pro) as problem concerning flash that crashes safari.

LIke I said, this problem occurs under more users. With a crash report, the "flash people" can help you further along.

Lastly, I would suggest switching to opera which seems to run better on your system.
