Office 2008 OS 10.7.2

Ok all,

I have done the right thing before posting this question, by searching posts and reading everything. I am still stumpped. Running MacBook with OS 10.7.2 can use every programme without any issues. Only thing is that when I quit Word for Mac 2008 it comes up with error reporting every single time and hangs computer. I have reported issue countless amounts of times and to no avail. I have checked constantly on the Microsoft website for any updates etc but I am fully updated. I do not have the money to go out and purchase a newer version of Office, especially if this is the only problem, but it is becoming annoying. Any help please..
