Q: iPhone 4S is loosing connection with Carrier after iOS5 update

Just ask for a new CARD if you can Micro sim  not cutted by you...AND its solved...I Got the same problem.

Nope. Did that, didn't help. Well - it did for about 4 hours or so. Then it was sim failure all over again. So it's not a solution. :-(

Rodrigo, tô com o mesmo problema na Tim, mas meu SIM foi comprado na 2a feira e tava funcionando normal, ou seja, era um SIM zerado que após a atualização começou a dar problema. Falaram alguma coisa pra vc na TIM? Tô sem saber o que fazer. O seu tá funcionando normal até agora?

Entao, o meu funciona normal com o micro sim da vivo e da tim do meu pai, ja com o meu o problema persiste, oque pra mim deve ser problema do chip ser antigo e cortado... Mas o meu ainda nao funciona, amanha vou pedir um chip novo na tim pq o meu realmente esta precisando..., em todo caso, como disseram, deve chegar algum update, nem que seja so nas configs da operadora.

it was working great before this update, i have problems when i try to make a call, sim invalid, searching carrier im desesperate!!!!!

Hola Arturo soy Carlos tambien de México pero del Df estoy con telcel me paso lo mismo despues de actualizar el iOS 5.0.1 no recibía ni podía llamar mismos mensajes de búsqueda se señal cero señal sin servicio etc etc ve con tu compañía pide cambio de chip el mio tenia aprox 1 año y fallo en fin cambialo yo este sábado lo cambie y ya no tengo ningún problema, en verdad cambialo pero pide que sea chip reciente o menos de 2 meses de elaborado.

Factory Unlocked Iphone 4S 64 GB, has entirely given up the ghost after the firmware update. Keeps coming up with NO SIM / Invalid SIM and SEARCHING. All after IOS 5.01 upgrade. There I was thinkign the battery life was just an issue and now im faced with a dud handset. This is getting ridiculous ! Even tried my wifes Iphone 4 SIM and still got the same error utter nonsense. Why on earth would you release an update that potentially nukes the phone ?

Here in Czech Republic is a real mess!!!! I've already changed twice the sim cart of t-mobile but nothing changed. I can't call and I can'T receive a phone call. THIS IS A SHAME APPLE!!!!!. You can't make pay 14500 czk a phone and it doesn't work, and moreover t-mobile is your partner everywhere. Besides here in czech republic there is no phone number for a support of repairing the iphone. I want my money back. I'm incredibly angry

Im from México, I have use my iPhone 4S for a entire week then I update to iOs 5.0.1 and I never have signal! I have to turn on the airplane mode like 5 times Per minute!!! Heeeelp! New iOs! We are paying to have this issues?

Same problem here in Cambodia. Its a huge mess. I've met 3 iPhone 4S users who complain about the same issue. I am beyond angry right now. This new 4S should be a better updated for the iPhone, not a 800USD brick! If Steve were here, he would have fix this faster!

I can't understand what Apple is waiting to update again the firmware, or to refund all the iphones sold, because this situation that is impossible to call is almost spread all over the world. In czech republic more than 5000 users of iphone 4s and t-mobile aren't able to call and use the iphone. APPLE WAKE UP PLEASE

E aí Rodrigo, trocou seu SIM? Tá funcionando normal? O meu já é 128k, não quero gastar trinta reais pra nada, acho que não vai adiantar eu trocar, troquei ele na semana passada antes do update. Mas se você me disser que tá funcionando normal depois da troca vou trocar o meu. Obrigado!
