Copying events in iCal/iCloud

How can I copy an event from one day to another in iCal on iCloud? Either by keyboard shortcut or drag and drop (which works for moving events, but I want to leave a copy behind).

Gerald, I was able to copy an event and paste a copy into a new date by highlighting the event, using the Copy command, clicking on the date to which I wanted to copy the event, then using the Paste command. The trick was simply to highlight the event, NOT to open it. As soon as the event is opened, the copy option disappears from the Edit menu, and keyboard shortcuts seem not to work at that point either. Another example of increasingly counter-intuitive engineering from Apple.
