Wifi wireless syncing issues

Hi,

I have set up my iPhone 4 and my iPad 2 to wireless sync with iTunes over wifi. The first time I did this process it worked great and I was very impressed. The problem is now every time I turn on my laptop, my phone and ipad will start "syncing" automatically. They never actually start syncing however because there is always an error that says "Cannot find iPhone". Is there a setting that I can change so that syncing only starts when I manually start it?

Is any one else having any issues like this?
