Upload from iPhone to YouTube fails if screen dims during upload

This problem was documented in July 2009 here on apple.com, but the problem persists even with today's update to iOs 5.01.

Here's the text from the original complaint that I found:

Saw some people talking about not being able to upload anything to youtube.

Apparently you need to make sure your phone doesn't "dim" and then to black, to the point that you have to press the button and slide the lock to unlock it.

If you let it do that, the youtube upload will fail. You have to keep your phone on, open, lit up, and active in order for the upload to finish.
