iOS 5.0.1 bluetooth broken

Following an over the air update of my iPhone 4S to v5.0.1 bluetooth will no longer connect to my Nuvi 350, Jabra Halo, or Jawbone. Bad news. I suppose I can send any ticket I get for not using a hands free while driving to Apple for prompt remuneration.

Please excuse my exasperation. Following the upgrade to iOS v5.0.1 I could not complete a pairing to any of my bluetooth devices. Previous to v5.0.1 they had been automatically pairing when in range of my iPhone 4S.

I had read many reports of this that were titled as specific to various models of bluetooth device. I thought it would be helpful to start a more generic thread.

I've done a hard reboot of the 4S which did not resolve the problem. I also deleted the connection entry on the iPhone and retried which did not resolve the problem.

However; then I did the next obvious step (which was not obvious to me immediately) and forced the Nuvi to forget/drop the connection for the 4S and the Nuvi has reconnected. Will also try on the other devices.

Forgive me for annoying you.

I have too issues trying to pair my iPhone 4S to my TomTom Car Kit, since iOS 5.0.1 update. The phone is charging, but not recognized as docked by the TomTom Car Kit, so no bluetooth and no additionnal GPS chipset.

Worked perfectly before, in iOS 5.0 (except from echo in conversations).

Tried yesterday with my brother's iPhone 4, iOS 5.0.1. Same issue.

Perfectly worked before with my old 3GS.

Having the same problem. Can't pair my iPhone 4S with my IPad 2 or my iMac 27". The phone doesn't see either and nor does the iPad see the phone. I tried disabling location services and Siri on the phone as others on the forum have suggested but to no avail. Deffinitely think there's an issue with the BT stack in iOS 5, I hope Apple patch it soon. Am pretty disappointed.

I play FIFA on my iPad and there's the possibility to play 2 player using a couple of iPhones as game pads. You link them to the iPad with Bluetooth. I was also trying to dump contacts into my iPhone using Bluetooth from my old Samsung Galaxy S as some were on the phone and others on my google account. In either case, since it's an Apple product, it should 'just work', unfortunately it doesn't.

I've been having problems connecting with all my bluetooth devices as well. In the best case, the connection is not near as stable anymore - i.e. it may connect for a period of time, but easily disconnects for no apparent reason. This is across our cars, portable speakers and portable Bluetooth handsfree device. On both our cars - Audi Q7 and Volvo XC70 - previously iPhone would connect to bluetooth flawlessly, now both connect only momentarily and then drop - connect and drop - with no apparent reason for either when it connects or when it drops - or how long or short it will stay connected. I have removed and re-instituted devices, re-paired, same results over the past several weeks. Until this week, when now the iPhone will not pair with the Audi system at all and I get a error message that says the device isn't supported. Who needs to do an update here - Apple or Audi? Any known way to fix this?

I also have a problem where my iPhone (5.0.1) starts Bluetooth but just searches endlessly. It never lists any devices. I'm unable to attach to my headset (where I was before) which is a pain.

O2 have said it's a faulty phone (how they can diagnose this over the phone I don't know) but I'm not so sure it is. It seems that lots of peolpe have experienced this; so it would seem it's an Iphone / IOS 5.x problem.

Can Apple confirm this / give an indication of when this will be fixed ?
