Time zone on Ipod Touch screwed up

I normally am on the East Coast time zone, but I recently traveled to Texas the other day with my Ipod Touch. The hotel had WiFi, and apparently the Ipod set itself to the Central Time zone. Now that I am back home and using my home WiFi, the ipod doesn't want to change back to East coast time.....I can of course manually set the time zone, but if I put it on automatic, the Ipod keeps selecting "Chicago" for the time zone. I have tried syncing, and powering down the device. Nothing I seem to be doing works. I am a Windows XP user, and using iOS 5.01. Thanks for any input!
