Probably not. Leave it alone for a few days. Try to turn it back on this weekend. If it doesn't work, it's toast. I would advise against putting it in rice as rice is small and could clogg up the optical drive and any other openings. But I suppose at this point, having a clogged optical drive is the least of your worries.

It's probably too late to consider this.. but if you can, pull out the battery.. and disconnect the power supply.

Many people try the rice idea with iPhones. I would use the dry rice, but don't emmbed it in the rice.. leaving it on top is good enough.

I would take the bottom pan off it to open the interior to air circulation as much as possible, stand it up on its left edge (where the ports are) on a wire oven rack with its display open, and aim a household fan into the underside of it. Leave the fan blowing room-temperature air into it for at least 72 hours. Don't use a hair dryer on it--even at a low heat setting a hair dryer can damage electronic components.

I wouldn't recommend rice. That works with things like phones, but a MacBook Pro has all kinds of holes for rice to get into and cause other problems. You really don't want rice inside your vents or your optical drive!

You might try placing the MBP in a zip lock bag with dry uncook rice todraw the moisture out of it. Leave it in there for 4 or 5 days.
