PLEASE HELP! WiFi connected, Skype works BUT Safari doesn't ((((

So here is my iProblem: One day I come home and open my MacBook Pro 13" and I get messages from Skype (which means Skype works). But when I try to open a page on Chrome or Safari, they both wouln't just load ANY page. I resterted my modem and router together and separately a thousand times. Whether I connect through WiFi or through Ethernet - Skype works but Safari doesn't open a single page (I deleted Chrome just in case and reinstalled Safari). I am using the latest version of Safari. PLEASE HELP 😟 !!!😢

I am having all sorts of problems with Safari and Firefox. I cannot get on hotmail, facebook and many other sites, but I can use google, just half the links won't load. Ran diagnostics, reset safari, uninstalled and reinstalled firefox. Have no idea what to do next.

I would start by repairing permissions: Utilities—Disk Utility—Repair Permissions. Snow Leopard should not be giving you this headache.

Of course, DiskWarrior may also help if you have it, but do the permissions first.
