iOS 5.0.1 problems- list here

-Not all artist are showing up under music, but can be found via search.

-Artists are not lined up by letter. After 'd', they just go where they like, and no artist is visible after 'r'

*Problems were not fixed with a restore (time consuming and annoying)

-Newsstand is not well liked by many, and the inability to hide it is annoying.

*Problem CAN be fixed by forming a new folder, and as that folder is forming, add Newsstand. Takes a few tries, but DOES work.

-iCloud will NOT accept my Apple id, while everything else does.

*No clue how to rectify that.

5.0.1 didn't seem to fix the battery problem. Since updating my iPod Touch 4 to iOS 5, I can read a book for about 2 hours before the 20% remaining message hits.

Before updating to iOS 5, I could go 5-6 hours, in fact, I never recall getting the 20% remaining point.

OTA has little value, since it now needs to be tethered...to an AC outlet.

For your last problem have you tried:

Never activated an iCloud account.

Attempt at humor. The ability to not tether to a PC is there, but now need to tether to a ac outlet.

'Waiting for items to copy' message- when syncing. Never-ending sync!!! Very disheartening, Apple!

Any word on a fix?

As Bob said, you can sync OTA without being connected to a charger. Since the iPod is battery operated, you will have to periodically connect the iPod to a charger.

Thanks, but yes, with no success. Same thing happened on my iPad 2 as well. Its not as big an issue for me as the music is.

Annoyingly as one big issue gets fixed another one replaces it. Since updating to 5.0.1 I have lost the ability to use Siri with my earbuds (Buds have been checked on previous iPhone and they work fine) If I hold down the command button on the earbuds to invoke Siri, I get no 'beep' to let me know I am doing it, further more Siri's voice is totally absent. The screen displays that Siri is working and can hear what has been said, however as the beauty of using Siri through the earbuds was that you didn't have to get the phone out in order to make use of it. Since the update, I am no longer able to use the phone in the way I had been enjoy I had been.😟

In Summary:

Earbuds play music without problem on 4S.

Earbud Mic works.Phone can hear voice command.

Siri listening beeps absent when using earbuds as well as hearing Siri voice.

Siri, listening beeps and all other audio appear to work fine when Earbuds are unplugged.

Earbuds are NOT defective, I have tested them elsewhere.

no attempt, no humour, just hard cold boring facts. I can sync and upgrade without the need to connect usb to PC or charger.

No battery life improvement.

Also, I think it's funny there are this many posts when iOS 5.0.1 has been out for not long at all.

CAN'T SYNC IPHONE SINCE UPDATE. SUDDENLY SAYS THERE IS NOT ENOUGH SPACE TO SYNC PHONE ADDITIONAL MB REQUIRED!

I am also having this problem. After first 1 hour sync attempt with "Copying Items" I stopped it and tried again, two hours later, still "Copying Items" Will I ever be able to sync again with this freaking update?! I have had nothing but more and more mounting problems with my new iPhone 4 since updating it to 5.0!
