I replaced my HDD after system crash. All iTunes data (media, playlists, library file) was on separate share and fully copied on to the new HDD.
Everything is also on my iPod touch. iTunes appears to be empty however. How to recover to the old situation in an easy way?

Copy the entire iTunes folder from its backup location to the equivalent location on your new HD.
Thanks Ed2345. But this is exactly what I did. The iTunes folder is in the Windows "Music" folder and contains all data from my old HDD.
Still iTunes is empty: no music, no apps, nothing. Do I have to tell iTunes where the iTunes folder is located?
If so, how?
Close and relaunch iTunes.
I did. No change.
Hoane, Close iTunes. Hold down the Shift key, and keep holding it down while you restart iTunes. It will give you a dialog that asks you to navigate to the iTunes library file. Point it to the correct one.

I had found that method already, but initially it came up with the wrong Music folder. That was probably due to the fact that my Windows Vista Music folder was moved from the default location.
